Ang Pow Lion Dance

The Chinese Lion Dance 舞獅 is performed by two members from a Lion Dance troupe, while the background/ surroundings are blasted with close-to-ear-deafening sound of drums/ cymbals. During auspicious event (such as Lunar New Year), some big companies welcome Lion Dance with Plucking the Green 采青 for good fortune/ business ahead.

Professional Lion Dance performers (from many countries) will also meet/ compete against one another to push the traditional art to greater heights. Competitors have to go through elevated platforms with stunning moves/ jumping poles to emerge as the formidable/ impressive winner.
